I am super excited about these mitts.  I was having a bit of a time with the thumb.  Its hard to knit it up smoothly and without leaving some kind of holes behind. These ones turned out AWESOME!!! YAY!!! =) I put them up for sale on my WEEBLY site. These are made from Mohair look yarn. Super Soft & Warm!

Cute, but "too boyish" LOL

Finished my first pair of knit mitts =)
Hailey was a great model to show how they fit, but upon asking her if she liked them, she says, "they are cute, but they are too boyish for me." LOL...I guess so. I love the colors myself, but I have a few years on her. ;)>

She's none too happy, but she puts up with me.

This here, is Peanut.  She looooves mamas sweaters, but this is her FIRST knit hat and she is lookin at me like "really???" and of course, I was like "yes, really...lol"
She puts up with me and that is among a million reasons why I love her so.

Lavender Baby Hat & Mittens Set...

This adorable ribbed hat & mittens set would look great on any beautiful  bouncing baby girl. Mittens have an I-Cord that attaches them together so you will never lose them.  We all know how frustrating that can be. Just slip inside babies jacket and wallah...mittens on the go.

Pondering: Which one, which one???? =)

Above: We have the starting of a scarf and I kept looking at the pattern and then back at the scarf and realized that I was doing something wrong...dare I say it, but I actually really liked it wrong...

Below: is what this pattern is SUPPOSED to look like...this is the beginning stages of it.

Below: is the first pattern that a friend of mine wanted me to make her....but I didnt really enjoy knitting it.  But now, upon looking at it...its actually really pretty. lol...So now, it is up to my friend to choose out of these which one she wants.  More to come...once I finish the scarf, I will post a pic.

Fingerless Gloves/Mitts

This is the pair I made originally as a gift, but as I am needing to get more stuff up for sale...and they knit up so fast...I will just knit more.  This was great practice as well.  I am debating on adding some type of embroidery...maybe snowflakes or something??? I really like knitting these...

WooHoo for Fall...

Fingerless Gloves...

One step away from learning how to make regular gloves...but these were soooo fun to knit up! Only took 2 days!  How awesome is that?  Hailey loves them...they are from a Magic Ball of darker fall-like colors.  I plan to make another pair in Black for dh...but he wants half finger holes...so I have to do some research beforehand.... I just love learning new things knit-wise =)

Learn Somethin' New...

So I have wanted to knit socks for a while now...kinda went away from that for a while...and so I was thinking about how I really wanted to knit a sock with a pattern in it.  I searched for a while online to find a pattern that I could actually follow easily.  I found one...finally.  I love it!  Now if I can get the second sock to look identical we will be doin' awesome! What do you think???

Skinny Cables Scarf

I asked my daughter to pose my scarf for me to put on the blog and I am glad I did....she made me smile!  Isnt she just too cute for words?  This is what I call a "Kodak Moment".
Now, lets get to the scarf, lol. As you can see its turned backwards on the one side, but you can clearly see the cables that run through the entire scarf. Very pretty, huh?  This is a Skinny Scarf with Cables.
Now, I really liked doing this one as it was an easy pattern to follow.   This is my first time making fringe this long (using a dvd case to wrap the yarn around makes it the perfect length) and I love it!  Anyhow, I would love to get some comments so what do ya think?

Knitted Baby Ugg Boots

I just love these.  Came across this great lil patternhttp://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/babybootiesugg.htm done on straight needles.  They whipped up real quick. As the pattern stated ," Every baby should have a pair of Baby Uggs"  I made these darling lil booties for a friend of mine.  She has no idea yet.  I hope she enjoys them as much as I enjoyed knitting them! =)

The "No Rhyme or Reason" scarf...

I must admit I was very worried that I wouldnt have enough yarn to finish (with just the grey colors) right from the start and then along the way I threw in 2 additional colors.  I just randomly changed it up a bit every step of the way...Whenever I got bored of one color I would switch it up, at some points even knitting 2 strands of color together. I just loooove how it turned out.  It reminds me of those bench seat covers for the oldies hot rod shows. Very Mannnnly =) What do you think???  Give me a shout out! =)

Project #1 for Lora =) Hat & Scarf set.

Finished my latest project for Lora (the lady I made a dog sweater for in my last post).  A lace stitch scarf with fringe and a hat made on 2 straight needles.  I have never before knitted a hat without using circular needles.  I have to say doing it on straight needles is sooo much easier.  I enjoyed doing this one...now onto the next set.  =)

Not wanting to rush to winter weather, but....

Im thinkin' Coffee...you?

The whole while I was knitting up these funky socks I kept thinking about coffee and its pretty fitting dontcha think? Took my two days to whip these out.  I love them.  I have learned more along the way on these.  I was able to actually knit up the gusset without leaving any holes behind.  Woohoo! You will have to excuse the "slouchiness" of the socks...I had Hailey model them for me. Now, I am going to make a pair for her cuz she just loves these! =)

Off Topic (My Beautiful Daughter Hailey)

One day in our rainy state of Washington, it decided to be a beautiful day.  My daughter and I took off for "adventures" at the great Burnt Bridge Creek Trails.  I had fun shooting fantastic photos of my beautiful girl. We had a wonderful time together that day.  We fed the ducks, watched the fish in the pond, and even were lucky enough to see a baby bunny along the way.

(=  ...I Love Days Like These...   =)
