First timer ~INTARSIA~ among other yarnin'
So, wow...I have a lot of catching up to do on the blog front. Lots of yarnin has been goin on and I need to show you!! All this time...I have been working on a baby blanket using intarsia techniques. Not hard, just trying...my patience. Lol Being that it was my first time doing intarsia I had to be totally on the ball. I would find myself following the color chart...backwards in the middle of the row, when I should have been going the opposite direction. Arrrgh...I spent more time fixing my fudges. LOL But the end result is pretty darned impressive (if I do say so myself)
Blocking it on the other hand, another story. I only have a large enough area that is traffic free during the day on my bed. Which meant that I didnt put enough padding (I used a blanket folded in half, but it wasnt enough) beneath the damp blanket and we got to sleep on damp sheets. =/ Good thing that the weather is warm.
Below: blanket being blocked =o)
I have crocheted a few things in between to break up the monotony...
I need to weave in some ends on all this crochet stuff...
I love the colors on this crochet circle blanket! Someone mentioned that it reminded them of the inside of a jawbreaker. Ha! They are right about that!! =o)
And today, I am back to knitting. Here is my WIP below:

Good Fortune and a Kindle Cozy =o)
Every so often I put an ad out on Craigslist asking for FREE yarn. And every once in a while I will get an offer of a few skeins. NEVER have I hit the mother load like I did this last time. This wonderful woman had bought a TON of yarn from a LYS that was having a blow out sale!!! Unfortunately, until she started using this yarn for her crochetting addiction...she didnt realize she was very allergic to synthetic yarns. Instead of selling it, she gave away bags upon bags of it to friends, family, whomever....this (2 huge glad bags full) was the last of it. THIS covers my entire Queen Size Bed!!! I was soooo appreciative. I cant even imagine buying this much yarn only to have it be something I was allergic to. Yikes. Soooo, I have enough yarn that I shouldnt have to hit up the craft store for a while. lol. maybe...

Then we have the beautiful Kindle Cozy that I made for personal use. I found a cute pattern online and ended up having to Frog it due to it being entirely too big. So, I had to start again and CO only 40 stitches and wallah! Kindle Cozy <3

Potato Chip/ Ruffle *Accent Scarf
This one was fun to knit up. =o) It whipped up pretty fast. I used 2 strands of color through out...a sparkley silver and a glitzy black. Added tassels and wallah: Beautiful Accent Scarf:
